First and international awards were won by the islands of Greece in National Geographic’s “Best of the World” and in the “Reader’s Choice Awards 2022”, by the readers of the American edition of the leading travel magazine “Conde Nast Traveler”.
Looking into the 2023 Nat Geo Best of the World list suggests destinations and travel experiences that shine a light on the world and the diversity of its communities and people. These proposals are organized into five categories namely: Family, Adventure, Culture, Nature, and, Community.
With this in mind, Seven Greek islands managed to distinguish themselves in the prestigious awards and enter the list of the “20 best islands in Europe”. According to Conde Nast Traveler readers, Ibiza came first while Crete won second place as best island in Europe for 2022 and the rest can be seen in the list below:
